Is Christ academy right for your family?

Many of our students have transferred in from public school. The transition is easier for some than others, and probably takes a little longer in upper grades than lower. Expect a couple of weeks and up to a semester. The truth is, whether they’re coming from public school, homeschool, or even another private school, kids need time to adjust to a new culture. We’ve found, though, that our small class-sizes and discussion-based learning make it easy for new kids to assimilate. Families who navigate this transition well tend to be those where parents and students are actively engaged and open to dialogue about the process. If that sounds like your family, the adjustment is entirely worth it. We work to support transfer students actively.

Bring them to a visit day! We structure the time to show you the real product, and we love the constructive conversations that various perspectives open up. Our classical distinctives even encourage this!

We understand that school tuition is a significant financial commitment. For many families, the cost can feel overwhelming, especially at first. 

At Christ Academy, we never want financial need to be the sole reason a family misses out on the education we offer. Financial aid is available. So is encouragement in the important work of thoughtfully realigning budget priorities around an investment in children's academic and spiritual formation.

We encourage every interested family to start an honest and confidential conversation with us.

We do require at least one parent to practice faith in Jesus. This is because we partner with parents to teach kids that life with Christ is the best way to understand ourselves and our world.

Most of our incoming students haven't. We assess each student individually during the admissions process and place them where they are most likely to flourish. Students who want to learn and who have engaged families tend to find their footing quickly.

No. The education we offer is accessible, and we welcome every family to invest with us in their child’s education.

We do recognize that academic results will vary, but that’s true at any school. 

At Christ Academy, though, we view learning as a form of training--we teach kids how to succeed. We guide them to participate in class, not just show up. We nurture them to complete assignments faithfully, not just robotically. We help them to see that they are active contributors to their own education and to the entire community of learning. 

Just as athletes grow stronger through disciplined practice, students grow in knowledge, skill, and understanding through consistent effort and perseverance. Along the way, students develop academically, and they put on the virtue of Christ in perseverance, diligence, patience, and humility. 

So, in or out of school they are poised to succeed.
