Classical education is a time-tested approach to learning that focuses on developing strong thinking, clear communication, and virtuous character. While students learn a great deal in their studies, the emphasis of classical education isn't on acquiring information or memorizing facts. Instead, it aims to teach students how to think. This seemingly subtle shift in focus creates learners who exhibit the independence of mind and clarity of thought for which classical education is regarded.
It’s built around three stages of learning, often called the Trivium:
Classical education emphasizes great books, rich language, historical rootedness and thoughtful discussion. Its goal is to cultivate curious, articulate, and well-rounded learners who love learning and are prepared to engage the world with a sense of purpose. Classical Christian education simply filters this framework through the lens of Christian truth, recognizing that every expression of goodness, truth and beauty we encounter, finds its source in God.

That’s okay! We gladly welcome students from a variety of different educational backgrounds and learning levels. Because of our low student to teacher ratio we are able to support students with training and instruction in foundational skills and knowledge to help them succeed in their education at Christ Academy.
